Pebble Stacks

The next stone does not have to be the biggest.

Pebble Stacks concept artwork
Original concept artwork. This page describes a design in development; it is not an active game screen.

The central idea

The next few stones would remain visible. Broad contact surfaces would offer security, while narrower pieces could create the space needed for a later move.

A small game works best when its first choice makes sense without a long explanation. This concept begins with a single interaction and a visible consequence. Additional rules would only belong if they make that interaction more interesting.

What needs to feel right

A falling stack must communicate why it fell. Subtle tilt and contact markings would give the player something to learn from without covering the stones in technical overlays.

Before an idea becomes playable, it needs comfortable pointer and keyboard controls, a useful pause state and a clear result. The artwork on this page establishes the mood, while those interaction questions remain part of development.

What you can do today

Try Lane & Roll for another game about small adjustments. There is no timer between its five rolls.
