The central idea
A drag would choose direction and strength before releasing the ball. The course could show the intended first part of the shot, leaving the final roll for the player to judge.
A small game works best when its first choice makes sense without a long explanation. This concept begins with a single interaction and a visible consequence. Additional rules would only belong if they make that interaction more interesting.
What needs to feel right
The ball should stop predictably, and the camera should never hide a useful edge. The working art explores soft geometry that makes elevation easy to see.
Before an idea becomes playable, it needs comfortable pointer and keyboard controls, a useful pause state and a clear result. The artwork on this page establishes the mood, while those interaction questions remain part of development.
What you can do today
Lane & Roll is ready now and uses a familiar combination of aim and power. Five frames provide a short practice session.
